Memorial Day 2021

Thank you to all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure we can live free in this wonderful country. Thank you to all of our customers who share with us to honor the fallen by flying flags in their yards this Memorial Day. The support of this great community has been overwhelming! There will be almost 300 of our flags flying around Waynesville this week in honor of our fallen heroes.

Memorial Day is observed the last Monday of May. It honors those who died while serving in the United States Military. Originally known as Decoration Day, it originated in the years following the Civil War as families and friends remember those who died. It officially became a federal holiday in 1971.
